Second Sem Results
The second sem got over. I am not sure if it was a relief. This semester was half the load of the previous one but I had taken up many work projects so was thankfully super busy and had little time to reminiscent. I felt perpetually in motion…either tapping fingers on keyboard or palming my brows, planning schedules or sifting through papers on the desk or files on the laptop. It was easy to pretend everything is alright!
So the good news is that I got my first A plus. Sticking to As helps validate many things that went into doing this course - plans, people... But that’s it. There are so many things I still don’t know. The more I read, the more ignorant I feel. About the course and otherwise. And the answers are not easy to come by. So once again, it’s a process of self-discovery. But wasn’t it such always?
In between we had
an assignment on return on marketing investment topic on a data shared by one
of the largest advertising spenders in NZ, the Warehouse group. I chose to
present to their representative. Delivering the presentation to Warehouse was
not mandatory. Only one other student did it besides me. I didn’t have to prove
anything to anyone, except myself. But I am happy it went OK.
I also worked
with Paul, a kiwi classmate on a couple of projects. Curious and sharp, it was
nice to know how he thinks. We got along well. It’s been a long since I
had a new friend.
